Outlook 2007

  1.  Open Microsoft Outlook 2007.
  2. Click “Tools,” then “Account Settings” to open the E-Mail Accounts window.
  3. Select the email account whose password you want to change.
  4. Click “Change” to open the Internet E-Mail Settings window.
  5. Enter your new password in the Password field located in the Logon Information section.

  6. Click “Next” to open the Congratulations window.
  7. Click “Finish” to save your new password.

 

Outlook 2010/2012/2016 – Newer

  1. In Outlook, choose File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
  2. Select Repair.
  3. Select the Advanced Options drop-down, check the box marked Let me repair my account manually, and then click Repair.
  4. Update the password or app password and click Repair one final time.

OR Try these steps.

  1. In Outlook, choose File > Account Settings > Account Settings.

  2. Select the email account you want to change, and then choose Change.

  3. In the Change Account window, update your password.

  4. Select Close after Outlook tests your account settings, then Finish > Close to return to Outlook.
